Regions and Federated States
Many federated states and regions have maintained international relations for some ten years now, cooperating and exchanging information and expertise in their respective areas of jurisdiction. Given the international dimensions of their responsibilities, federated states have also become more involved in the search for solutions to global problems.
It is in this spirit that the Government of Québec maintains both bilateral and multilateral international relations with federated states and regions (in international associations of federated states and regions). These relations take different forms (cooperation and partnerships) and cover a wide range of issues.
