Business networking mission in Brussels

The group of Québec business representatives on the mission in Belgium.

About fifteen Québec companies traveled to Belgium recently to participate in several networking activities with Belgian organizations in an effort to develop new partnerships and look for opportunities in the European market. This mission was organized by Carrefour Québec International (CQI) and Montérégie East Export Services (SEME), in collaboration with the members of the Réseau des commissariats à l’exportation du Québec (RÉCOMEX).

The economic affairs department of the Québec Government Office in Brussels prepared them for the meetings with representatives from Pôle Image in Liege, the Microsoft Innovation Centers in Brussels and Mons, and leaders of Belgian organizations. Québec companies had previously traveled to Lille for Futurallia 2012, an international networking event attended by more than 600 corporate executives.

Other partners of the trade mission included the Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation and the Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ), which offered grants to entrepreneurs aged 35 and under.

Some of the Québec companies on this mission included: Ace supplements, Bedecomics, Symeco Conception, Gemini 3D, Interstation, Jolifish, ADDA Tech Systems, L'île Imagin'Air, NoSomérica, Production La Semelle verte, PWA Consulting, Revolys, Technocentre des technologies de l’information et des communications de Chandler and Normand Fullum Telescopes.
