Minister for Tourism Pascal Bérubé will represent the Québec government at the official launch of Bül in Brussels on December 13. The event wraps up the celebrations held to mark the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Québec government office in Brussels (DGQB). Minister Bérubé will meet with the elected representatives responsible for tourism in Brussels, Wallonia and Namur, as well as tour operators and specialized tourism media representatives.
In the words of Pascal Bérubé, “I’m proud to be heading for Belgium, a high-priority country for us when it comes to promoting Québec tourism in Europe. The Bül event and related activities will be an exceptional showcase for our creators, products and Québec as a destination for European tourists.” (in French)
Québec will enjoy a place of honour and high visibility during the event. A number of Belgian political leaders, including government ministers and burgomasters, will attend the launch. Minister Bérubé’s presence at the event and participation in various meetings will be good opportunities to promote Québec as a tourist destination.
Bül will be complemented by activities in the fields of fashion, design and tourism. Montréal’s Sensation Mode, for example, will hold a fashion show featuring apparel and accessories created by Québec designers such as Harricana, Marie-Saint-Pierre, Second Jeans, Ophélie Hat, Rad Hourani and Mo852.
On his way home from Brussels, Minister Bérubé will stop in Paris, where he will meet with Roberto Romero, Vice-President, International Relations, for the Île-de-France region. Tourism promotion activities involving French stakeholders and specialized media are also on the agenda.
