Minister Jean-François Lisée carries out European mission
Jean-François Lisée, Minister of International Relations, La Francophonie and External Trade, is on a mission to Germany, Belgium and France from June 20 to 26. He will be meeting with key contacts for Québec in Munich, Dresden, Brussels and Paris.
The Minister and the members of the delegation will then visit Munich and Dresden, where they will tour the facilities of some of the most innovative electric vehicle manufacturers and meet with important players in the sector. They will also take part in workshops aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration with the research sector, companies and other potential partners in Bavaria and Saxony.
Minister Lisée will also participate in political meetings in Bavaria and Saxony, which are major partners for Québec in Germany. Québec has been chosen as an international partner for these Länder (states) under the German federal government’s electromobility regional showcase program.
In Brussels, the meetings on the agenda will be opportunities for the Minister to explore bilateral and European issues.
Jean-François Lisée’s last stop will be in Paris, where he will meet with various stakeholders, including members of the French government, to discuss issues such as economic development, occupational mobility, youth, culture and La Francophonie. Alexandre Cloutier, Minister for Canadian Intergovernmental Affairs, the Canadian Francophonie and Sovereignist Governance, will also be in the French capital to take part in events held to celebrate Québec’s National Holiday and meet with a number of economic and political partners.
