The 59th meeting of the Board of Directors of the France-Québec Youth Office (OFQJ) held in Montréal on October 7 provided an opportunity to ratify the Office’s activity report and adopt five recommendations for the future.

Reintegrating youths who are away from school and the labour market as well as professional and technical training likewise received the Board’s close attention.

The OFQJ was also asked to support the sharing of “good practices” between France and Québec with respect to youth policies, especially on the issue of involving young people in public life.
Minister Jean-François Lisée and his French counterpart, Valérie Fourneyron, Minister of Sports, Youth, Popular Education and Community Life, co-chaired the meeting focusing on cooperation between Québec and France. The Secretaries General of both sections, Alfred Pilon and Pascal Bonnetain, as well as Québec and French administrators were present.
