    Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers

    Québec Premier Pauline Marois will welcome her counterparts from Atlantic Canada and New England on September 8 and 9, in La Malbaie, at the 37th Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG/ECP). She will co-chair the Conference along with Rhode Island Governor Lincoln D. Chafee.

    Maka Kotto, Minister of Culture and Communications, was on a mission in France until August 25 to participate in the Festival du film francophone d’Angoulême (FFA), which paid tribute to Québec cinema this year by dedicating a whole portion of this year’s programming to Québec films.

    Resounding success at Gamescom 2012 in Germany

    Some one dozen Québec companies took part in Gamescom, the largest European interactive game fair, in Cologne, Germany, from August 15 to 19. The Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE) acted as the architect of Québec’s participation. The Québec companies also benefited from consulting and support services provided by the economic section of the Québec Government Office in Munich during the fair.

    Continuing collaboration between Québec and Chile

    The Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, HEM Roberto Ibarra, was in Québec City on August 21 and took the opportunity to reiterate Chile’s interest in pursuing and expanding collaboration and trade with Québec. He was accompanied by the new Consul General in Montréal, Fernando Zalaquett, and the Honorary Consul in Québec City, Miguel Monterichard.
