    Québec welcomes Indian Minister of State for Power

    The Government of Québec received Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, the Republic of India’s Minister of State for Power, on July 3 and 4 in Montréal. The high-ranking political leader was accompanied by the Indian High Commissioner in Canada, the Deputy Minister of Power and the Chairman and Managing Director of the Power Grid Corporation of India.

    Pauline Marois in New England

    The Premier of Québec, Pauline Marois, will be in New England on July 17 and 18 where she will meet with the governors of four states—Maggie Hassan (New Hampshire), Deval Patrick (Massachusetts), Lincoln Chafee (Rhode Island) and Dannel Malloy (Connecticut)—to discuss the topics on the agenda of the next Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG-ECP), which will be held in La Malbaie on September 8 and 9, 2013.

    The Great Lakes and St-Lawrence Cities Initiative: A Ten Year Partnership for Sustainable Development

    Québec participated in the Annual Meeting and Conference of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative (GLSLCI) in Marquette, Michigan, from June 19 to 21. GLSLCI, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is a coalition of mayors of 100 cities in Great Lakes states, Ontario and Québec (20 cities in Québec).
