    64th Conference of the Association of International Educators

    The Annual Conference of the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) was held from May 27 to June 1, 2012, in Houston, Texas. Representatives from Québec were among the some 8,500 conference-goers from 95 countries who, each year, take part in this conference, the largest in the world dedicated to international education.

    The Québec Government Office in Washington (BQW) and the Climate Center of the Georgetown University Law Center co-organized a symposium on the role of federated states in preparing the next United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20). The symposium, which was held in Washington DC on May 23, focused on best sustainable development practices in Québec, the United States and around the world.

    British Library welcomes Alexander Reford

    Alexander Reford, Québec historian and director of Les Jardins de Métis/Reford Gardens, was the guest speaker during an evening organized by the Québec government office in London in collaboration with the Eccles Centre for American Studies, held at the British Library, in London, on May 22.
