    China: a tourism market with huge potential

    Minister of Tourism, Nicole Ménard, headed an economic mission to Beijing, Jinan and Shanghai, China, from April 6 to 15, 2012, to present Québec as a tourist destination in this rapidly growing market. She was accompanied by representatives from the Ministère du Tourisme, Tourisme Montréal, the Société du Centre des congrès de Québec and Aéroports de Montréal.

    Lisa LeBlanc receives 2013 Rapsat-Lelièvre Award

    Multidisciplinary Québec artist Robert Lepage has received the highly acclaimed Eugene McDermott Award in the Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Council for the Arts. The award was presented at a gala held in Boston on April 26.

    European Parliament Conference: Québec’s lead in sustainable development

    Québec Delegate General in Brussels Christos Sirros, Associate Deputy Minister at Forêt Québec Richard Savard, and MDDEP representative Robert Noël de Tilly (Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs) recently took part in a conference in Brussels organized by the European Intergroup on Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development. They were invited to present the Québec model, since Québec is viewed as a pioneer in sustainable development and forest management.

    Finalists revealed for the Prix de littérature jeunesse Québec/Wallonie-Bruxelles

    The Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and the Ministère des Relations internationales, de la Francophonie et du Commerce extérieur announced the names of the five Québec finalists selected for the joint award of the 2013 Québec-Wallonia-Brussels youth literature prize known as the Prix Québec/Wallonie-Bruxelles de littérature de jeunesse.
