Côte d’Ivoire

A major trade hub in West Africa, Côte d’Ivoire is a regional leader: it is a member of the West African Economic Monetary Union and the Economic Community of West African States. The Africa Development Bank is headquartered in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire. This country is also Québec’s sixth largest international trade partner in Africa.

Côte d’Ivoire is home to the largest port in the West African subregion and boasts major road networks. Lastly, it is a member of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

Québec representation

The Government of Québec opened the Québec Government Office in Abidjan on November 30, 2017. It ensures permanent government relations with Côte d’Ivoire authorities and is working to develop long-term relations with the country.
